Early Registration Ends Today for Sleepy Hollow 10K

Early registration for the second annual Sleepy Hollow 10-kilometer run ends today, Friday, July 15.

The run had its inaugural edition last October (, attracting over 250 participants. This year's course will be similar to the first, with stretches along the Hudson River and through the bends in the Manors.

Many daring participants will be wearing their Halloween costumes during the race, and prizes will be given to runners with the best getup.

As a first this year, there will also be a one-mile run for kids (age 6 and up). The kids' run is $5 and includes finishing medals, face painting and Halloween crafts.

The 10K takes place on October 22, at 9:30 a.m. For adults, early registration is $25, regular registration (until October 20) is $30, and race-day registration is $35. The event benefits the RHSM Life Center's after-school program.
