Elmsford SD School Board & Budget Election Results Are In

The voters decided on the $45M Elmsford schools budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education.

ELMSFORD, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2024 budget and school board.

Two seats were up for election on the Elmsford Board of Education.

The proposed spending plan of $45,315,278 was passed, with 607 voting yes and 293 voting no. The new budget is 8.54 percent higher than the current budget.

The tax levy is expected to rise 1.76 percent.

District officials said that the budget will support: instruction and services to children, employee benefits, buildings and grounds, transportation, administration, and other areas.

Proposition #3 to establish Capital Reserve Fund in 2024 of $5,000,000 for districtwide infrastructure was approved by voters.

Proposition #4 for Repair Reserve Fund of $1.5 million was approved.

Alfredo Lezama and Justin Datino were elected to the school board.
