"Elvis Has Left the Building" But Not the Stage; Salutes to the King are Coming to Elmsford
Elvis Presley impersonators are still going strong long after his death on August 16, 1977.
Two Elvis impersonators, Garry Wesley and Danny Vernon, will appear at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford on August 1, 2015. The ticket cost of $90 per person plus tax includes dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the show by Wesley and Vernon at 8:30 p.m.
An Elvis tribute artist named Tally Lauriti will vocalize at Rini’s Restaurant & Wine Bar in Elmsford on August 15, 2015 — showtime is 8 p.m. No cover charge applies.

Along with the opening of the new Graceland Archives Studio, a multimedia iPad tour narrated by John Stamos has been introduced. Graceland officials call this the “first additions to the tour experience in 20 years.” A VIP self-guided tour includes a peek at Elvis’s two custom airplanes — it is priced at $77 for adults. Graceland will also conduct the first-ever Elvis property-and-possessions auction in its history on August 14 at the Memphis home of the King.
Sightings of Elvis continue to be reported, and of course lookalike impersonators remain popular at entertainment complexes, trade shows and social events.

Elvis impersonator Garry Wesley has received numerous awards from the City of Memphis and is the only Elvis impersonator to perform in Memphis on Beale Street during the past 26 years. Danny Vernon was voted the best young Elvis in a completion held in Palm Springs, CA. Tally Lauriti grew up in The Bronx and has performed with many groups; he was the lead singer for The Velvatones.
