Celebrating Milestones: A Woman's Journey

On Wednesday, November 2, 2011, the Visiting Nurse Association of Hudson Valley will present “Celebrating Milestones: A Woman’s Journey” featuring a book signing and presentation by NY Times bestselling author Sarah Brokaw, daughter of renowned newsman Tom Brokaw.  The event is being held at the Doubletree Hotel in Tarrytown from 6:30 – 9:30PM.   Ms. Brokaw will be joined by two additional presenters; Dr. Tanya Dutta, a cardiologist at Westchester Medical Center, will be speaking about women’s heart health and Dr. Lisa Brooks-Greaux, an expert on women’s leadership and executive development for Pfizer, Inc. will speak on “Empowering Ourselves: Embracing our Abilities.”  Michelle Charlesworth, co-anchor of WABC-TV's weekend morning news broadcast, will serve as host for the evening.

Established to recognize and celebrate the many roles of women, the event will present topics of interest to women as they venture into the next decades of their lives, focusing on making them the best years yet – through the 40s, 50s and beyond.

“Celebrating Milestones” will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, a vendor sale, auction prizes and gifts for all guests.  Tickets are available for a $100 donation and can be purchased by calling (914) 666-7616, ext. 211 or online at www.vnahv.org.  For more information, please call Laura Elmore at (914) 666-7616 ext 210.
