Evergreen Club serves Chinese seniors at the Theodore Young Center

Over 25 years ago Brenda Sun, a resident of Edgemont who was born in Taiwan, approached me asking if the Evergreen Club could meet at the Theodore Young Community Center. The Evergreen Club provides many interesting programs and services to Chinese seniors. Some of the seniors are from Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China. They all get along - no politics during their meetings and events! The seniors have been enjoying the hospitality of the Theodore Young Community Center for over a quarter of a century.
Greenburgh has a large Chinese community . We appreciate the contributions the Evergreen Club has made to our town and also welcome living in a town that is diverse. We welcome residents from different religious backgrounds and people whose families are from many different countries around the world. It's nice to experience friendly interactions in our community.
