"In the Face of Catastrophe" -a womans story -surviving a coma

Interview with a woman who survived a brain injury and coma at the age of 30--an inspiring story that highlights why one should have hope

Do you know anyone who is in a crisis? Are family and friends giving up? Are you looking for hope? inspiration? A true story of someone who overcame the odds by not giving up.
I’m posting this on the town website and on social media because I I hope that some readers, who are currently discouraged by bad health news, will be inspired by a success story.
Jennifer Rose Goldman and Caryn Meg Hirshleifer wrote a memoir about Jennifer’s life-threatening medical condition. The book is called "In the Fae of Catastrophe- How a Traumatic Brain Injury Became a Blessing."
While working at her family’s retail store, days before her thirty-first birthday, a violent stroke left her comatose.
The book that is the subject of the interview chronicles the family’s navigation of the effects of Goldman’s stroke. The book highlights different family members experiences and the support system that kept everyone going during the ordeal.
I discussed the book and Jenn’s story on my show SOLVING PROBLEMS co-hosted by Pauline Mosley.
