Fascinating Woman Leads Feeding Westchester
Feeding Westchester President and CEO Leslie Gordon Named One of WAG Magazine's Most Fascinating Women

Elmsford, NY (July 16, 2019) – What do Hillary Clinton, Glenn Close, Martha Stewart and Feeding Westchester’s Leslie Gordon have in common? They are all fascinating women. Feeding Westchester’s President and CEO made WAG Magazine’s list of 40 of the most fascinating women in Westchester and Fairfield Counties.
WAG recognized Leslie for her work in leading the Elmsford-based non-profit in its mission to provide good food and end hunger in Westchester. WAG calls Leslie, a “highly personable but no-nonsense” woman who “has the knack of getting things done.” Since joining Feeding Westchester two and a half years ago, the fourth-generation Tarrytown resident has increased annual food distribution by more than 20% -- or over 10 million pounds -- and introduced innovative partnerships like those with healthcare institutions to connect diabetic patients with healthy food.
“I am humbled to be recognized alongside a group of highly-esteemed women who are doing good and making a difference right where they live and work,” says Gordon.

She pioneered a new strategy that doubled the food distributed annually from 30 to 60 million pounds. Earlier, Leslie was Founding Director of Made in the Hudson Valley, and served under General Colin Powell as National Director of America’s Promise-The Alliance for Youth.
