Fatal Crash Victim's Identity Released by Greenwich Police
The 51-year-old woman from Elmsford, NY was en route to work at a private Greenwich residence when the accident occurred.

Greenwich Police have identified the pedestrian who was fatally injured when she was struck by a car as she crossed King Street at Anderson Hill Road early Tuesday.
Yani Baca, a 51-year-old woman from Elmsford, NY., was struck at approximately 6:50 a.m. Jan. 6, police said in a statement released Wednesday.

Baca was taken to the Greenwich Hospital where she was died of her injuries a short time later, police said. Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray said Tuesday that Baca and a co-worker had disembarked a Westchester Bee-Line bus, and were enroute to their housecleaning jobs at a private Greenwich residence when the crash occurred.
No one else was injured.

No charges have been filed against the male driver of the Mitsubishi Eclipse that struck Baca. The incident remains under investigation by the Greenwich Police Department Traffic Section.
