French Consul General visits Odell house, praises agreement to turn over Odell House to town....passport application processing mobile van at AF Veteran park today

Recently, the Greenburgh Town Board signed an agreement that will result in the historic Odell House being turned over to the town. We are applying for a grant from NYS to renovate the house which played a very important role in the American Revolution. Local residents and historians applauded the agreement. The significance of this action was highlighted yesterday by the French government.

Yesterday the French Consul General, Anne-Claire Legendre visited the Odell House on Ridge Road. Her office posted the following on twitter: "We are delighted to visit today the Odell House, to be acquired and restored by the Town of Greenburgh! Occupied by General Rochambeau in the summer of 1781, the house symbolizes the deep roots of #FrenchAmerican friendship and collaboration." The French Consulate posted photo's on their facebook, twitter and other social media accounts.
