Swimming
Alex Gianino (Hackley ’10) has been elected as one of four captains on next year's North Carolina men's swim team. At 19, he is believed to be the youngest swimmer ever to be so elected by his teammates. His swimming specialties are the freestyle, breaststroke, and the individual medleys.

Running
The Leatherman's Loop, which took place at the Ward Pound Reservation in Cross River April 22, had runners throughout the region competing in it.
