Girls' Basketball Clinch Playoff Spot
It is the second-straight year the girls' team will head to the playoffs.
The Sleepy Hollow varsity girls' basketball team clinched their second straight playoff appearance with their win yesterday over Hastings by a score of 46 – 39 in overtime.
Kerry Oliveira had a nice all around game with 11 points, 10 rebounds & 5 steals. The key to Oliveira's game was her free throw shooting. She went 6 for 6 from the line in overtime and 8 for 8 overall.
Jamie Bucci also had an outstanding game shooting 4 for 8 from the field for 9 points. Bucci just missed a triple double by adding 9 rebounds and 9 steals with only 2 turnovers.

Kelly Bender also contributed some solid minutes with her defensive game and picking up four big defensive rebounds late in the game.
The girls' record improves to 5 – 3 overall and 2 – 0 in the league. Their next game is 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 11 against Saunders at the Jack McCreery Gymnasium at Sleepy Hollow High School.
