The Lady Horsemen beat Port Chester 2-1 thanks to a last-minute goal by Jamie Bucci.

The Lady Horsemen started off the soccer season in style, beating the Port Chester Rams 2-1 with a final-seconds goal by captain Jamie Bucci.

The win came on the brand new lower field at Washington Irving, which was completed just in time for the new school year. Athletic Director, Chuck Scarpulla was on hand to see the inaugural kick-off at the field.

Both squads battled against solid defenses – Port Chester's goalie Jazmin Acosta had a number of saves while Sleepy Hollow's Meghan Geary debuted in goal with stunning success, finishing the day with 9 saves.
