Greenburgh Accepting Applications For Snow Parking Exemptions

Police will look at the application, supporting materials and data to determine whether a hardship exemption is appropriate.

GREENBURGH, NY — Residents of the unincorporated area of the town of Greenburgh may apply for a snow parking hardship exemption.

The Town Board, in connection with the police department and the Department of Public Works, is piloting another season — from Dec. 1 to March 15 — for a hardship exemption for parking during snow season.

Those with property in the unincorporated area of the town other than the public streets that have snow parking requirements may apply for the exemption

Town officials said the exemption is not automatically granted; one must be qualified for the exemption before a revokable overnight parking permit will be granted.

An application, as well as supporting materials and available data, will be reviewed by the Greenburgh Police Department.

Authorities said the display of forged or revoked permits will be prosecuted.
