Greenburgh Mulls Rezoning To Allow Repurposing Of Mostly Vacant Office Building

There is only one tenant in the building, and that one is there on a short-term basis.

GREENBURGH, NY — Town of Greenburgh officials are considering changing land-use laws to facilitate the repurposing of a mostly vacant office building. A developer wants to tear down the five-story building at 555 White Plains Road and construct a health club and self-storage facility on the site.

If Greenburgh proceeds with the plan, it would join Yonkers, White Plains and Harrison, to name a few, in loosening office zoning, the Journal News said.

There currently is one tenant in the building.
