Greenburgh Supervisor to Form Jobs Networking Group for Out-of-Work Recent College Grads

The group will meet to exchange ideas about employment opportunities and strategies.

GREENBURGH, NY — If you are a recent college graduate and are having a hard time finding work, the Greenburgh town supervisor has a plan that might help.

Supervisor Paul Feiner said that over the summer he had the opportunity to talk with some recent college graduates who weren’t having successful finding a job.

“It’s frustrating to have a degree from a two-year or four-year college,” he said, “to have spent tens of thousands of dollars—or over six figures—getting a degree and then to have no job.”

To that end, Feiner is forming a networking group of recent graduates that will meet, exchange ideas about employment opportunities and strategies and reach out to possible employers and people who could help them land a job.

Feiner said this initiative is a followup to an effort he started more than six years ago when he formed a job club, which helped more than 300 people to find work.

“If your son or daughter recently graduated college and if they are still out of work, please encourage them to contact me,” Feiner said.
