Greenburgh Town Board To Discuss Police Department Replacement
Two meetings with presentations have been scheduled.

GREENBURGH, NY — Presentations on a project to replace the 6-year-old Greenburgh police headquarters have been scheduled for the town board.
The schedule is as follows:
- 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11, Greenburgh Town Hall
- 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22, Greenburgh Town Hall
According to an email from Supervisor Paul Feiner, the current police headquarters was designed to house a department of 63 mail employees and 12 vehicles.

"It was not built with an eye toward the future: increased workforce, female officers, adequate parking, technology demands and accessibility," he said.
Over the years, there have been renovations and additions, including downsizing officer locker sizes and improvised locker rooms for female officers.

"The situation with the one story, single courtroom Town Court, built in 1968, with prisoner holding cells added in the 1980s, is no better," Feiner said.
He said that no decisions have been made on plans to move forward.
