Greenburgh Town Board to Discuss Problems Contacting Assessment Company

Tyler Technologies is the firm that conducted the town's assessment.

Problems getting through to the reassessment company contracted by the Town of Greenburgh will be discussed at a board work session Tuesday.

Supervisor Paul Feiner said in an email that he had received complaints from residents who were having difficulty getting in contact with Tyler Technologies, the company that conducted the town’s reassessment.

He said the half dozen people who contacted him were either unable to get through at all or were put on hold for long periods of time.

Feiner stressed that getting an appointment with Tyler should be easy.

“My suggestion: Since thousands of people are going to try to reach Tyler to schedule an appointment at the same time- they should let people request appointments by e mail--and promise to get back to residents promptly. This way no one has to be put on hold for 30 minutes or hear busy signals when calling,” he said.

The company has agreed to meet with residents during normal business hours, with some limited evening and weekend appointment available.

Feiner asked that residents who have not been able to get through to Tyler should email the town board at townboard@greenburghny.com.

He would also appreciate knowing if residents have had a positive experience with the company.
