Greenburgh Town Board Puts New COVID-19 Restrictions In Place
The board is asking anyone who wants to attend live meetings to register in advance.

GREENBURGH, NY — There will be new coronavirus restrictions at Greenburgh Town Board meetings — while the pandemic continues.
Supervisor Paul Feiner said, for all future town board meetings, those who wish to attend the meeting in person must pre-register.
"We will restrict attendance in our auditorium to fewer people to reduce the possibility of the spread of COVID-19," he said.

All in attendance must wear masks.
Every other row in the auditorium will be blocked off, as will every other seat, Feiner said.

Those who enter the auditorium will have their temperature taken in the lobby, he said.
To pre-register to attend a town board meeting, send an email to publiccomment@greenburghny.com.
Feiner said anyone can participate at the meetings via Zoom and email a public comment.
He told Patch the new restrictions came out of concern by the board that people were sitting right next to each other and almost every seat was taken at a recent meeting.
"The preregistration is being asked," Feiner said, "because we don’t want people to show up and then be told they have to leave."
He said he continues to believe that only those who are vaccinated should be allowed to attend our live Town Board meetings.
"Non vaccinated should participate remotely," Feiner said.
That recommendation has not yet been adopted by the board and will be discussed again at the Tuesday work session.
The next meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board is at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
