Greenburgh Wants to Bring Music to Isolated Seniors
The town supervisor is looking for people who can help organize the initiative and to volunteer to perform.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A new initiative in the Town of Greenburgh is hoping to make the lives of homebound elderly residents a little better.
Supervisor Paul Feiner said the town is trying to enlist musically talented volunteers to provide concerts to the homebound or otherwise isolated individuals.
“This initiative is based on a successful program in NYC called Concerts in Motion,” he said.

Feiner explained the musicians will go to the elderly person's home and give concerts.
“Among the goals,” he said, “to encourage interaction between young people and seniors and to relieve social isolation through music. This initiative will put a smile on the face of the elderly. It’s also an opportunity for young musicians to have a better appreciation of the difficulties many elderly people have and to help them enjoy their lives.”
