Several athletes from the Tarrytowns competed at the New Balance Nationals, held at North Carolina A & T in Greensboro, from June 14th through the 16th. All were from Hackley, including A.J. Wolf in the Shot Put, Bob Cacace in the Men's Decathlon, Ian Parnell in the 200 & 400 Emgerging Elite, and Alyza Ngbokoli, in the Women's 400.

In the boys Shot Put, Wolf broke his own personal record, as he tossed it 43-03 finishing 3rd. His throw of 181 feet in the Discus, earned him 2nd place. Both scores placed him in the status of All-American.
Decathlon
In the Men's Decathlon, Cacace, who missed making All-American by only two points, won the Shot Put with his throw of 42-11.50, finished 7th in the Long Jump, going 6.20 meters, while in the High Jump, he was in a 3 way tie for 8th, at 5-09.75, finished 9th in the 400, clocked at 54.12, was 5th in the 100, at 11.48, finished 12th in the 110 High Hurdles, with a time of 17.26, and in the Discus finished 6th, with his longest attempt going 105-04.
He was tied for 8th place in the Pole Vault, going 10:03.50, was 2nd in the Javelin, at 153-07, was 5th in the 1,500, clocked at 4:53.72, had a total of 5,929 points overall, finishing in 7th place, out of 13 entered in the event. Kris Horn of Pembroke, Ma. was the champion, as he amassed a total of 6,720 points.
400-Relay
In the girls 400, Ngobkoli finished 8th, clocked at 1:04.47, while winner Kaila Smith of Charlotte, N.C. had a time of 1:02.54.
In the boys 400 Emerging Elite race, Parnell was disqualified when he stepped out of lane.
