Hackley basketball gives maximum effort
The below was taken from the Hackley Athletic website on its Jan. 23 home contest:
At Hackley, the boys basketball team lost a heart breaker to Fieldston 61-50. The Hornets, down by 4 at the half tied the game midway through the 4th quarter, but made some mental mistakes that cost them the ball game.
It was by far the best effort of the season. I am very proud of the effort and level of competition. The Hornets were lead in scoring by Dan Chung (17 pts.) and Max Parauda (10 pts.)
Headless Horsemen fall in final
Sleepy Hollow participated in the 35th annual Croton-Harmon Dual Meet tournament, making it to the finals before losing in a highly competitive match to Croton-Harmon 38-37 on Jan. 22.
Gabriel Palacios, Csaurel Clarke and Christian Nathaniel all recorded pins for Sleepy Hollow.
