Heat Advisory, Hazardous Weather Starts Tarrytown's Work Week Forecast
Extreme heat and humidity starts the week in Somers but ends with several thunderstorm threats starting Thursday.

It’s going to be extremely hot and humid Monday in the Hudson Valley with the entire region under a Heat Advisory and Hazardous Weather Outlook.
Besides the oppressive heat, the Hazardous Weather Outlook calls for scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across the region late this afternoon into the evening.
The storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts being the main threat.

In southern Westchester County, the humidity will make the near-90-degree high feel more like 99 degrees.

The best chance for thunderstorms appears late Monday afternoon and up until midnight.
Tuesday is another hot day and after that the temps stay in the low 90s, but there appears to be stormy weather ahead possibly Thursday through Sunday with thunderstorms possible each day.

- Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 10pm. Some storms could be severe, with heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. West wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 92. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph.
- Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67. North wind around 6 mph.
- Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 90. North wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the morning.

- Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 91.
- Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.
