With the Hudson Valley feeling the effects from the remains of Florence, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties. The weather service said showers and thunderstorms will produce periods of heavy rain today.

Rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour will be possible at times, with storm total rainfall ranging from 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts.
