Inside the Sleepy Hollow Courthouse: Bail Still $50,000 in Sexual Abuse Case; Dell'Orletta Sentenced to 90 Days

Dell'Orletta Sentenced to Time Served
Cariann Dell'Orletta, 27, was charged with Violation of Probation in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.

She was previously convicted of damaging a Sleepy Hollow police cruiser by kicking out a rear driver-side window in September of 2009 and resisting arrest in Tarrytown.
After Dell'Orletta's attorney and Assistant District Attorney Bob O'Connell conferenced the matter with Village Justice Andres Valdespino, she entered an admission to violating her probation.

Valdespino then sentenced Dell'Orletta to 90 days in county jail, which has been completed due to her time served since her August 18 arrest until now. Additionally, her probation was discharged.
Bail Still $50,000 in Zepeda Case
Nehemias Corado Zepeda, 34, remains incarcerated as charges of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child are pending against him.
Zepeda was arrested on November 16 after an intervention initiated by Westchester County Child Protective Services. You can read the full story .
The attorney appointed to Zepeda's case said he had not received a supporting deposition as of Monday afternoon and therefore requested Zepeda be released on his own recognizance.
O'Connell consented that there wasn't "sufficient" paperwork at the time, and after a bench conference, Zepeda's attorney requested an adjournment.
The defendant remains incarcerated with bail set at $50,000 for the time being.
Zepeda also has an immigration-related charge pending on the county level, which his attorney acknowledged on Monday.
The matter was adjourned until November 29.
DWI Defendant Makes First Appearance
Christopher Leace, 22, was arrested on Nov. 19 and subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated (first offense) and Damaging Village Property, a violation.
On Monday, he was assigned counsel to represent him as the case goes forward, the lawyer entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.
After a second call, Leace's attorney asserted he would not be submitting a hardship application and Leace surrendered his license to the court. His driving privileges are suspended for the duration of the case.
The matter was then adjourned until December 13.
Garrido Pleads Guilty to Harassment
Jason Garrido, 22, was arrested on July 9 and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment in the Second Degree.
Today, Garrido pleaded guilty to Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation, in satisfaction of both charges.
He was sentenced to $250 in fines and surcharges, given a one year conditional discharge and a two-year order of protection in favor of the victim in the case.
His attorney asked that the order of protection allow for family court to be permitted to modify the order based on his ongoing case there. Specifically, Garrido is seeking rights to see his children.
