A glimpse inside the headquarters of justice in Tarrytown.

Here's a look at some of the cases that came before the Village Court during its September 8, 2010 session.

He was initially arrested by the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force on August 16 and was incarcerated until a family member posted his $5,000 bail within the past week.

Assistant District Attorney Robert Docherty recommended Fernandez-Fontans be referred to TASC given the nature of the charges.

Though Docherty raised issues last week regarding the teen's immigration status, he currently is residing in a Tarrytown hotel with his father as the case proceeds.

The case was adjourned one week until September 15 when the court will review Fernandez-Fontans TASC compliance before moving forward.

Bucci Frustrated, Requests to be Released

Jeffrey Bucci, 46, appeared in handcuffs to answer to a charge of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree.

He remains incarcerated in county jail with bail set at $5,000 following an August 14 arrest for violating an order of protection.

Bucci, a lifelong Tarrytown resident, was very vocal during his time in front of the judge. He repeatedly asked to be released to St. John's Riverside Hospital to seek treatment, but his attorney said she had difficulties making arrangements with St. John's and Graymoor, another treatment program, due to the holiday.

Bucci continually interrupted his attorney, Docherty and Village Justice Kyle McGovern, expressing his frustration.

"I don't want to keep coming back and forth," he said.

He also repeatedly asked McGovern to move to sentencing as soon as possible or reduce his bail, but the judge resisted.

When presented with paperwork, Bucci said "I'm not signing none of that s**t," and briskly walked toward the exit of the courtroom while still handcuffed.

He was escorted out by an officer. The case was adjourned until September 15 to allow time to facilitate correspondence between Bucci's attorney and the treatment programs.

Adjustments Made to Blackman's Order of Protection

Rosa Blackman appeared to make adjustments to a temporary order of protection resulting from an August 4 plea of guilty to one count of Disorderly Conduct.

Until now, the order of protection has prevented Blackman from contacting and interacting with her young granddaughter after she was arrested for screaming at the girl in public.

Today, the mother of Blackman's granddaughter appeared in court as well. She told Judge McGovern she does not have any concern for her daughter's safety when she is with Blackman.

Therefore, the order was changed to allow Blackman to see her granddaughter, but she is still forbidden to engage in inappropriate contact with her and must refrain from stalking, assault, etc. for two years.

The sentencing also includes a one-year conditional discharge and Blackman was ordered to pay $275 in fines and surcharges.

Kantor Remains in Custody

Todd Kantor, 41, was arrested on August 7 and charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and one count of  Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.

He is currently incarcerated in county jail with bail set at $10,000.

The case was adjourned until September 22.

Tarrytown Criminal Court is in session every Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m.
