Jazz Singer Alexis Cole to Appear at RiverMarket Bar and Kitchen in Tarrytown on New Year's Eve
The festivities include a four-course dinner, dancing and a sparkling wine toast at midnight.

Vocalist Alexia Cole and her band will provide the entertainment for the New Year’s Eve celebration at RiverMarket Bar and Kitchen in Tarrytown on the last day of 2014. A four-course, prix-fixe dinner at $100 per person with a wine-pairing option (an extra $50) will be offered. Costs for tax, gratuity and other beverages are additional. Seating for dinner is available at 9, 9:30, and 10 p.m. The bar is open to the public; a $30 per person music charge applies.
Dinner begins with chilled Cotuit oysters followed by a choice of:
- Blue Fin tuna pizza. Avocado, spicy mayo, jalapeno, tobiko
- Purée of heirloom squash soup. Crispy Brussels sprouts, duck confit, cranberry chutney
- Pan seared Diver sea scallops. Black beluga lentils, roasted tomato, pearl onion, fennel pollen

- Roast Hemlock Hill Chicken. Black truffles-parsnip puree, braised red cabbage, black truffle vinaigrette
- East Coast Shell Fish Stew. Charred tomato-saffron broth, lobster, clams, calamari, mussels, butter ball potatoes
- Duet of Sugar Hill Farms. Beef- braised short rib, peppercorn crusted new York strip, creamed kale, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, baby carrots
The desserts are apple charlotte, raspberry mousse or warm gingerbread.
An a la carte menu will be available from 5 to 8 p.m.

Cole, a recording artist for Motéma Music (New York), Chesky Records (New York) and Venus Records (Japan), has appeared at Avery Fisher Hall and the Kennedy Center and has been a featured soloist with the Boston Pops and the New York Philharmonic. She has also performed at Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, The Jazz Standard, Blues Alley, and Billboard Live.
Cole earned a Masters of Music from Queens College and is an adjunct professor in Jazz Voice at City College and SUNY Purchase. Artists who have collaborated with Cole on her nine recordings include Fred Hersch, Eric Alexander, Matt Wilson, Harry Pickens, Don Braden and Pat LaBarbara.
