
Josephine Valentine entered into eternal life on Saturday July 19, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 83.
Born on Aug. 27, 1930 to Headley and Ernesta Marcellin in New York City, she was raised in New York until her late teens and then moved to Westchester County to be with her extended family.
Josephine loved to travel (especially cruising); loved to tickle the slot machines (whether stateside or on the ocean); jigsaw and hidden word puzzles; a good movie; as well as spending time with her family, friends and her Senior group.

She was known for her sense of humor and her sharp wit, love of life and family. She was quick to provide advice and perspective with an honest and helpful nature.
Josephine is survived by her son Robert (Nadine) Valentine, daughter Cindi (Allan) Valentine-Douglas, grandson, Steven (Tamari) Lewis, II, great-grandsons, Thayer and Jaxson Lewis, and was a mom to Kevin Fleming and Rhonda (Dwayne) Cloud. She is predeceased by her husband, Henry George Valentine.

She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her Memorial Services were handled by Dorsey Funeral Home in Ossining on July 24th.
