Judge Says Village Vote Can Proceed In Edgemont

The Greenburgh supervisor has not decided whether the town will appeal the decision.

GREENBURGH, NY — A state Supreme Court has said the hamlet of Edgemont can proceed with a proposal to become a village. The decision, which was handed down Thursday, said the rejection of a petition by Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner was completely reversed.

A vote on the referendum must be scheduled within 40 days, lohud.com said.

In an email, Feiner said he will be reviewing the decision with his attorney and the town board before deciding whether to appeal the decision.
