Lowey, Abinanti Endorse Wompa and Team in Sleepy Hollow Election

A pair area Democratic leaders have offered endorsements in Wednesday’s Sleepy Hollow election.

Both Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Assemblyman Tom Abinanti are supporting the slate led by mayoral candidate Karin Wompa, which includes trustee candidates Bruce Campbell, Jose Chevere and Mary Linder.

Said Lowey in a statement:

“I am delighted to endorse Karin Wompa for Mayor and Bruce Campbell, Jose Chevere and Mary Linder for Trustees. Please join me in supporting our Democratic candidates who uphold the values we share and who will work together to improve the quality of life for all village residents. Vote Democratic on Wednesday March 18th.”

In his statement, Abinanti said:

“Karin Wompa and her Democratic team of Trustees Bruce Campbell, Mary Linder and Jose Chevere will keep Sleepy Hollow working for everyone – fairly. I have worked with Karin during her seven years as Trustee. She is dedicated to the Village of Sleepy Hollow and has developed the relationships needed at all levels of government to serve the community. Her slate is a true representation of this Village and will serve it with integrity and professionalism.”
