Supervisor Paul Feiner said he spoke Thursday with the chief operating officer of the United States Postal Service about the hundreds of complaints received by the town because of misdirected or undelivered mail.

“Many of the complaints received deal with receiving mail addressed to someone else,” Feiner wrote in an email.

Feiner spoke with David Williams, who said he understood the town’s concerns and promised to provide a plan of action to address service delivery.

Williams said he would request a face-to-face meeting with the manager of the Westchester district to discuss the problem.

Feiner said he felt Williams was responsive to the community’s concerns.

“I feel that he wants to improve service, and to be responsive to Greenburgh and Westchester postal customers who have complaints,” he said.
