He began his career in the Westchester County Corrections System and had a nine month stint in State Corrections before being hired on in Sleepy Hollow. The Hopewell Junction resident is keen to continue the practices started by former chief John Kapica. I'm currently working with a Pleasantville HS senior on academic writing and college prep, and figured I'd reintroduce myself more broadly as summer prep season approaches. 
 I made a free worksheet for the most common writing problem I see: a thesis that's true but too vague to argue. It walks through three tests (specific / contestable / significant) and the four traps thesis statements usually fall into.
