Mother's Day Gifts Abound at "Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst"

For sale at the fair's booths are jewelry, clothing and a large variety of creative and unique handmade objects.

“Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst” in Tarrytown which ends on Sunday, May 1, is a great place for shopping for Mother’s Day gifts. Approximately 275 artists and craftspeople are participating and many offer items suitable as a present for mom.

Here are six exhibitors that stand out as sources for Mother's Day gifts:

  1. Three Wheel Studio (booth 502) has colorful serving bowls and platters made by Dwo Wen Chen priced typically at $132
  2. Exot Treasures (booth L02) is selling raw silk scarves at $30 each or two for $45
  3. Nancy Reid Carr (booth B217) has photography-on-aluminum cuff bracelets on display priced from $34 to $38
  4. Boronia Jenson at the Curator stand (booth C319) is offering a variety of jewelry holders and organizers typically priced from $12 to $48
  5. Jamie Lausier at Jamie’s Organic Candles (booth Z21) provides natural palm wax candles, priced at $15 and up—some capable of burning up to 200 hours. A $29 Mother’s Day gift set includes a 3 inch by 4 inch palm wax candle, a bar of goat milk soap, and a wooden soap dish
  6. Steve White at Stems Vases (booth B209) offers narrow-width rectangular glass and acrylic vases for a row-of-flowers and other arrangements priced from $42 to $138

Admission costs (cash or check accepted only) are $12 per adult, $11 for seniors (62 or older), $4 for children (6 to 16) and kids under 6 are admitted free. Parking is free on site and at other nearby parking areas with frequent free shuttle-bus service.

The show opens on Sunday at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Show attendees can tour the Lyndhurst mansion at half price by getting their hands stamped at the crafts show.
