No. 1 Hackley's girls baskeball squad finished off its perfect season in thrilling fashion with a 35-33 victory against Poly Prep March 4 at Fieldston to win the NYSAIS C Division title.

Alexandra Mueller hit the game-winning jumper for Hackley (23-0) as time expired to give the Hornets the championship.

Boys Youth Hoops

The Horsemen improved to 8-6 with a 40-25 triumph against Armonk B in the seventh grade B division of the Tri-County Basketball League Feb. 26.

In the America East playoff game on the 3rd, Vermont's Sandro Carissimo (Sleepy Hollow-Iona Prep '10) had 4 points on a basket plus 2-2 at the foul line, and had 5 rebounds, plus 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 steal in the 50-40 win over Maine.
