Mustangs Defeat Croton 4-1 and Hold a Successful Fundraiser

On Saturday September 28th the Tarrytown under age 11 girls travel soccer team defeated the Croton Cobras 4-1 at Croton Landing Field.  Talia Fante scored two goals with an assist from Maya Weitzen and from Samantha Livingston.  Sophie Sylves-Berry had a career day and scored two goals of her own with an assistant from Samantha Nutig and help from Maya Weitzen’s second assist of the day.  The lone goal for Croton was given up on a break away opportunity.  Sophie also played goalie as well as Julia Costa and Samantha Nutig.  Emma Clarke and Caroline Grimes controlled midfield while Maddy Navin, Catherine Grimes, Sadie Swenson, and Annie Dineen were dominant at defense.

Later that night the Mustangs held a successful fundraiser at JP Doyles with over 50 guests attending helping raise funds for their trip to California next year.  The grand prize Sony TV was won by Assistant Regional Commissioner Matt Evans.
