The fifth annual National Day of Racial Healing is an opportunity for people, organizations and communities across the United States to call for racial healing, bring people together in their common humanity and take collective action to create a more just and equitable world, according to organizers.

Beginning at 8 a.m Tuesday and continuing at various times throughout the day, the day's events will include virtual meditation, healing circles, anti-racism training and community storytelling centered on the theme "How We Heal."

Organizers said racial healing recognizes the need to acknowledge and tell the truth about past wrongs created by individual and systemic racism and address the present consequences. It can facilitate trust and build authentic relationships that bridge divides created by real and perceived differences.
