See sketches made recently by the Middle School's 7th grade English students, who read S.E. Hinton’s powerful young adult novel, The Outsiders. Students also studied Robert Frost’s poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay,” and discussed the meaning in the context of the novel. They sketched an image that represented the theme and wrote about how Frost’s poem is about losing “gold,” or youthful innocence, which can also be seen through the experiences of the characters in The Outsiders. You can see their sketches athttp://www.tufsd.org/shms/outsiders/Nothing%20Can%20Stay%20Gold/index.html
