Nursing Home Evacuated Due to Broken Air Conditioner
The owners of the facility are already in court for a similar situation earlier this year.
MIDDLETOWN, NY — County officials ordered a Middletown nursing evacuated Saturday because of complaints that temperatures in the patients’ rooms were more than 85 degrees.
Owners of the privately run Highland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center are already in court for a similar incident that happened in May, FIOS1 News said.
News 12 said 92 residents were initially moved to the first floor from the third floor but after the air conditioning wasn’t fixed the evacuation order was given.
