Opinion: Bruce Campbell Thanks Sleepy Hollow Residents

Bruce Campbell was not re-elected to the Board of Trustees.

Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustee member Bruce Campbell, who was not re-elected to the group this month, read the following statement at Tuesday’s board work session:

CAMPBELL THANKS SLEEPY HOLLOW RESIDENTS:

I will be out of the country next week and so will not be here for what would be the last Board meeting of my term. Because of that I would like to take the opportunity now to express my thanks to the people of Sleepy Hollow for allowing me to serve them as a Trustee for the past six years. It has not always been easy but it has always been interesting. I wish the new Board good luck and good judgment in leading our Village. There are many ways to be of service to the community. I hope and expect to stay involved in the life of our village, whether in elective office in the future or elsewhere.

Over the past 6 years I have seen first hand just how filled our village is with kind, concerned and caring people. As a Trustee I have had the privilege to meet dozens of them who I would not otherwise have met, and in that way this experience has enriched me. It has also strengthened my belief in Sleepy Hollow. This village is where my wife and I came to raisea family and over the years it has become my hometown. It is a place with a bright and exciting future that I hope we can all share and be a part of for years to come. Thank you.
