Phelps Hospital Offers Tours of New SurgiCenter to Public

Community invited to take an "up close and personal" look at this latest state-of-the-art addition to the hospital.

Phelps Memorial Hospital Center is opening the doors of the newly completed Phelps SurgiCenter for the community to take an “up close and personal” look at this latest state-of-the-art addition to the hospital. Public tours of the new facility will take place Wednesday, December 10, 10am to 3pm, and again on Saturday, December 13, 11am to 2pm. Families are welcome and children will be given hospital coloring books as a memento of their visit.

The 20,000-square-foot SurgiCenter is unique in New York State as the first surgical unit for both inpatients and outpatients to be located in a medical office building. A bridge connects the SurgiCenter to the main hospital.

“What we have created is a surgical facility that is not only designed for tomorrow’s technology, but provides patients with unsurpassed comfort and privacy,” said Phelps President Daniel Blum. “We invite all members of the community to join us in celebrating the opening of the extraordinary SurgiCenter.”
