Police Investigating Possible Luring Incident In Tarrytown

TARRYTOWN, NY — Police in Tarrytown are investigating a possible luring that took place around 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 near the intersection of Meadow Street and Millbrook Avenue. Police said a 10-year-old who goes to Main Street School in the Irvington district was standing near this location waiting for the school bus.
The child said a late model Honda Civic four-door sedan with a New York yellow-color “Empire” style plate (registration unknown), traveling north on Meadow Street, pulled up and stopped near the child.
Police said the child reported that a white man, possibly in his 20s or 30s with dark hair and a short goatee, spoke to him through the open passenger-side window.

The man asked if the child needed a ride to school.
When the child said, “No,” the man pulled away traveling north on Meadow Street toward Route 119.
