Police: Man Attempted to Lure Student into Car in Sleepy Hollow
The incident happened Friday morning.

A attempted luring of a child occurred Friday in Sleepy Hollow.
Police Chief Greg Camp said his department is investigating the incident which happened between 6:50 a.m. and 7 a.m. in the area of Francis Street and Barnhardt Avenue.
He said a man operating a older model silver two-door vehicle motioned to a female student with his hands.

The student said she didn’t know the person and she believes he may have been motioning for her to either come to or get into his car.
She ignored him, and the man drove off.

The driver was described as an elderly white male with black or brown hair. He was wearing a baseball-type black cap with a red “K” on it.
