Possible Stormy Weather Kicks off Work Week for Tarrytown
While there are some chances for storms, overall this week will feel cooler with plenty of sunshine in and around Sleepy Hollow.

The weather forecast for the Hudson Valley this week includes a few chances for showers and thunderstorms in the five-day forecast.

THERE IS A LOW CHANCE FOR LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING. RECENT HEAVY RAINFALL IN ASSOCIATION WITH ADDITIONAL LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN FALL IN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING COULD LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING.

But top news for the week is that temperatures will be much cooler, and all in all it looks pretty good.
Yes, the days of possible stormy weather include Monday, Tuesday, Friday night, and Saturday. While that sounds like a lot, the chance for storms on each of those days is around 40 percent or less currently.

So as typical with storms, some people may receive a downpour and some will see sunny skies.

- Today: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 78. East wind around 7 mph.
- Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Tuesday: A slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. North wind around 8 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable.
- Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.
- Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
- Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 68.
- Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87.
- Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.
