Meeting addresses pitching literary agents and ways book authors can draw attention to their work.

A “Pitch Prep Session” scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2015, at 7 p.m. is intended to help writers get ready to meet with literary agents or editors on Saturday. Registrants who attend the Pitch Prep Session will receive tips and guidelines approximately one week in advance to help them draft their pitches. The cost to attend on Friday is $75.

At the Pitch Prep Session, to be conducted by Cynthia Manson and Caitlin Alexander, the emphasis will be on one-on-one feedback to help refine each attendee’s pitch. What agents and editors look for will also be covered as well as how to turn a pitch into a query letter, and how to follow up requests to receive a manuscript.
