Rasbeck Relays: Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow Daily Sports Digest, May 15

While part of the team competed at the Loucks Meet in White Plains, other Hackley track and field athletes took part the same day, 5/12 at the Rasbeck Relays, hosted by Irvington.

Competing in Class II, along with Hendrick Hudson, Port Chester, Eastchester, and Albertus Magnus, while the same was true for Sleepy Hollow, with the Horsemen competing in Class C, along with Irvington, Briarcliff, Woodlands, Rye, and Croton-Harmon.

Hackley Boys

Hackley's boys, in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay, finished 2nd, with a clocking of 1:44.3, while they won the Distance Medley Relay in 11:33.3, copped the 4 x 100 Relay, in 46.7, also prevailed in the 2 x 3200 Relay, clocked at 21:56.3, were 2nd in the 4 x 200 Relay, with the time of 1:38.5, won the 4 x 800 race in 9:21.9, and were 2nd in the 4 x 400 in 3:52.5.

In field action, they copped the Triple Jump, with a collective distance of 68-03.00, won the Shot Put, took the Discus Throw with 214-04 points, were 2nd in the Javelin Throw, wih a mark of 225-01, and finished 3rd in the High Jump at 10-00.00. Hackley won the day, with a total of 109 points, followed by Hen Hud, with 92, Eastchester 3rd, with 85, Port Chester 4th, with 58, and Albertus Magnus 5th, with 28 points.

Hackley Girls

With the Shuttle Hurdle Relay as the girls ' opener, Hackley finished first, with a clocking of 54.9, were 1st in the Distance Medley Relay, in 14:15.9, won the 4 x 100, in 52.5, also copped the 4 x 200 Relay, clocked at 1:51.0, as well as taking the 4 x 800 Relay, with their time of 11:19.8.

In field events, they were 2nd in the Long Jump, at 27-03.50, followed by their victory in the Trimple Jump, 60-0.50, and 2nd in the Discus Throw, at 143-00. At the end, Hendrick Hudson was the winner, with 110 points, followed by Hackley with 86, Port Chester and Eastchester tied with 60 each, and last was Albertus Magnus with 32.

Sleepy Boys

Sleepy Hollow's boys 800 Medley Relay team was 2nd, in 144:09, the 4 x 100 Relay team finished 3rd, at 48.6, the 2 x 3200 team was 2nd, at 22:49.7, the 4 x 800 team ended up 4th, a 10:28.3, and the 4 x 200 team was also 4th, timed at 4:09.4.

In field action, the Long Jumpers finished 3rd, at 33:02.50, while in the discuss they finished 5th, a 135-03, and in the High Jump, they were in a tie for 2nd place, at 10-00. At day's end, the Horsemen finished 5th, with 51 points.

Sleepy Girls

The girls 800 Shuttle Medley team were 5th, timed at 2:10.8, while the Distance Medley, they were 2nd, in 14:00.9. In the 4 x 100, they were 2nd, in 58.6, while they wound up 3rd in the 4 x 200, with a clocking of 2;;03.6, and in the 4 x 800, they were the winners, in 11:35.5, and then came in 2nd in the 4 x 400, with a clocking of 5:19.2.

Competing in the Long Jump, the team was 3rd, in 22-09.3 and in the Shot Put, they finished 5th, with a distance of 38:10, 75. They finished 3rd on the day, with a total of 60 points.
