Residents Voice Opinions on the Share-Path Proposals for New Bridge
People at the hearing in Rockland County favored one proposal over the others.

Two hearings were held to gauge the community’s response to the shared-path walking and cycling path for the Tappan Zee Bridge.
The meetings were held in Sleepy Hollow March 15 and Nyack March 16.
Residents at the Nyack Middle School session were in favor of Alternative F, which costs $14.5 million and closed the South Broadway Thruway on-ramp, according to the Journal News.

Comments that concept “F” would keep traffic off local roads and be less intrusive were voiced.

The parking project on the Westchester side of the bridge would cost $1.5 million, according to an article on westfaironline.com.
Among the comments offered at the hearing were whether it would be safe to have the shared path open around the clock and that the proposed maintenance facility doesn’t fit the beauty of the town.
