Baseball

Festive First Propels Knights over Bonnies

The below was taken from the Tarrytown Knights website:

June 8, 2012 – 02:33 PM Your hometeam Knights spotted the visiting Bonnies three runs in the top of the first and then we went BOOM .. exploding for seven runs in the bottom of the frame as we cruised to a 10-4 victory at E. Rumbrook Park.

Gary Riefenhauser over came some early wildness and settled in for the complete game victory, his first as a Knight. The bats were actively led, once again, by Kyle Reich, who pounded two monsterous doubles. Special shout to Andrew Amodeo, who doubled off the top of the right field fence and Will Perez, his 3-run double in the bottom of the first put us on top for good.

Soccer Camp

The Thirteenth Annual AYSO-Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, NY (Region 220) organized summer soccer camp will be held August 13-17, 2012. 

Note: camp is on if it rains and will only be cancelled if lightning moves into the area. 

WHO: Girls and boys aged 4-16 (Preference is given to players in the AYSO Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow program.) 

WHERE: at WI Washington Irving Field, 103 South Broadway, Tarrytown, NY

WHEN: August 13-17, 2012 
- Mini Camp, 9am - 10:30am, ages 4-6, $95, includes camp T-shirt 
- Half-Day, 9am - noon, ages 5-16, $125, includes camp T-shirt 
- Full-Day, 9am - 3pm, ages 7-16, $175, includes camp T-shirt 
- VIP (Special needs players), 10:30am - noon, ages 5-16, free 
- Make check payable to AYSO Soccer Camps. 
($25 late fee applied if postmarked after July 25, NO EXCEPTIONS!) 

Golf

The below was a press release courtesy of the 9th Annual Phelps Golf Classic:

- The 9th Annual Phelps Golf Classic will be held Monday, June 11 (today) at Sleepy Hollow Country Club on Route 9 in Scarborough, one of the most picturesque country clubs in America.

The cost per golfer is $800, which includes green fees and cart, buffet lunch, refreshments, cocktail and buffet reception, gifts and prizes. All players may invite one guest to the evening buffet reception. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to facility improvements at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center that will enhance patient comfort and care.

Registration begins at 11 am, followed by lunch, with a shotgun golf start at 1 pm. Cocktail reception and buffet open at 5:30 pm. Prizes to be awarded include luxury autos for hole-in-one winners and a $50,000 Jet Blue Shoot-Out Challenge.
