
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23, road crews will be working along Route 448 between Route 117 and the Potantico Hills School in Mount Pleasant, weather permitting, according to the county Department of Public Works.
Alternating lane closures are expected between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on the 23rd. And from Thursday, Sept. 24, to Wednesday, Sept. 30, alternating lane closures are expected between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and again between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Motorists may experience delays and should seek alternate routes if possible.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
