Rockefeller Estate Selling Off Cattle At Hudson Pines Farm

The family announced the dispersal shortly after David Rockefeller's death in March.

SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY — The entire herd of cattle now at Hudson Pines Farm, owned by the late David Rockeller, in Pocantico Hills will be will be sold Nov. 1. Preceding in the event, which is being called “Forever a Legacy, will be viewings of the cattle from Saturday, Oct. 28 through Tuesday, Oct. 31, according to a flyer posted on the farm’s website.

A Final Farewell Party will be held at the Rockefeller Playhouse after all the cattle are sold.

Miranda Kaiser, owner and executive director of the farm, and David Rockefeller’s granddaughter, posted an emotional message on Facebook in March after Rockefeller’s death to friends and colleagues announcing the dispersal of the herd.

Rockefeller, a banker and philanthropist, died March 20 at his Pocantico Hills home at the age of 101. The cause of death was congestive heart failure.

He was the last surviving grandson of oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller.
