Four Local Runners Finish Hot Marathon
Runners from Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown bested the heat to finish the annual race on Patriots Day in Massachusetts.

With the temperatures reaching the upper 80's, more than 22,000 runners competed in the 116th Boston Marathon on Monday. More than 3,000 marathon runners didn't even bother to show up because of the heat and hundreds more had to retire early because they were overcome by the high temperatures.
Wesley Korir (2:12:40) and Sharon Cherop (2:31:40) pulled off the sweep for the Kenyans.

Yonatan Rodriguez (Sleepy Hollow '07) of 8-26:6-6 Concordia had 1 hit, 1 error, and 2 sacrifices in the game with Chestnut Hill, while in the 2nd contest, he had 1 hit, 1 r.b.i., and 2 steals.
The Clippers swept their guests, 4-1 and 10-4.
Softball
In a twin bill at Harvard on the 7th, Samantha Erosa (Hackley '09) of Penn saw action in both games, as the Quakers bowed twice to the Cantabs, with the current record 20-12:5-2 thus far this season. She has a batting average of .254 and a fielding percentage of .936.
Hackley Continues Winning Ways at Horace Mann

Trish Gorman had 6 goals and two assists and Sarah Cassidy had four goals to lead the Hornets to a 15-3 win over Horace Mann. The defense kept the Lions to three goals with outstanding play by Kelly Gorman (10 saves) and Kathleen Sullivan who was a force to reckon with in the defensive end.
JV Baseball
Battled to the end but just came up on the short end of a 10-8 slugfest (against Horace Mann). Multi hit games for John W. and Alex C.!
