Westchester County Police Sued By NYC Over Officer Training Costs

At issue is the county allegedly poaching an officer trained elsewhere.

A Westchester County police department is being sued by New York City for poaching a police officer.

Lohud.com said the message the suit NYC is sending is for Westchester to train its own officers.

The lawsuit, which is the second one filed, is to recoup more than $20,000 NYC spent to train an officer who is now a Westchester County police officer.
